All rented properties must either have a valid EPC or hold an exemption, in order to be marketed for rent.

There is now a minimum energy rating of 'E', which all rented properties must meet.  The Government are considering increasing the minimum rating to 'C' by 2030.

If you are looking at buy-to-let properties, we highly recommend you take into consideration the current EPC rating of the property and factor into your purchase the cost of any improvements that may be required to increase the rating to 'C'.
